ThreadClear ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by BHM-IT, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our conversation intelligence platform at threadclear.com and app.threadclear.com (the "Service").

Our Service is built on a fundamental principle: your conversation data is never retained. We process conversations ephemerally—in memory only—and discard all content immediately after analysis.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Company name and industry (optional)
  • Password (stored securely hashed)

Conversation Data

We do not retain conversation content. When you submit conversations for analysis:

  • Content is processed entirely in memory
  • Analysis results are generated and returned to you
  • All conversation content is immediately discarded
  • No conversation data is written to disk, logged, or stored

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage statistics to improve our Service:

  • Number of analyses performed (not content)
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Performance metrics

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process your conversation analyses
  • Send you important service updates
  • Improve our algorithms and features
  • Respond to your support requests

Data Retention

Conversation Data: Zero retention. All conversation content is processed in memory and immediately discarded. We do not store, log, or retain any conversation text, images, or audio.

Account Data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

Usage Data: Anonymized analytics are retained for up to 24 months.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted partners who help operate our Service (e.g., cloud hosting), under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

AI Processing

ThreadClear uses artificial intelligence to analyze conversations. When AI processing is required:

  • Data is transmitted securely using TLS 1.3 encryption
  • Processing is ephemeral—no data is retained by AI providers
  • We use multiple AI providers; you may choose your preferred provider in settings
  • Self-hosted deployments can use local AI models with no external transmission

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure password hashing (bcrypt)
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure
